N-Power beneficiaries will recieve bank notification from today – FG

The federal government said Tuesday that all N-Power beneficiaries in the country will receive bank notifications for their monthly unpaid claims starting Tuesday.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, said in a statement signed by media consultant Salisu Na’inna Dambatta, the payment was for 500,000 N-Power beneficiaries across the country.

Several separate interviews in Lokoja, said that the stipend would enable them to take care of their needs while on COVID-19 lockdown.

However, Hajia Farooq said the ministry signed the payment mandate after all the proper procedures had been completed in accordance with the federal government’s public financial rules.

“The individual who is responsible for processing payments must do so in accordance with the rules and regulations needed to ensure accountability.

“After the rules are strictly adhered to and the process is completed, I am convinced that they will receive a credit signal from their bank today, Tuesday, April 14, 2020,” the minister said.

The Minister reiterated President Muhammadu Buhari’s government’s determination to revise the National Social Investment Program (NSIP), including the N-Power component, to ensure transparency, efficiency, accountability and rational use of public funds in the implementation of the program.

“The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, together with relevant partners, will launch a comprehensive improvement process to ensure that the benefits expected from the NSIP are fully realised,” he said.

It is important to remember that each participant receives N 30,000 monthly support from the N-Power program, a work development and skills development program designed to help Nigerian youth acquire and develop lifelong skills. to become a viable provider in their community.
