BREAKING: Police arrest criminals terrorising Lagos communities

The Rapid Response Team, part of the Lagos State Police Command, arrested five hooligans on Saturday who allegedly destroyed residents of the Lagos border community.

The RSS team, led by its commander Tunji Disu, said the suspects molested residents in Abule-Egba, Alagbado, and Ijaiye, among others.

Disu said five arrests had been made, and added that police were ready to prevent further riots.

Our correspondent reported that criminals robbed residents from areas under the local government areas of Alimosho and Ifako-Ijaje of Lagos State.
This happened after the 14-day lockdown order of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to curb the spread of COVID-19 enters day 12.

The two affected local governments in Lagos are close communities to Ogun State.

Disu said some of the suspects were arrested when RRS teams and police of the local units patrolled.

“Commander RRS, DCP Olatunji Disu, Commander, Area H, ACP I. D. Zungura and DPOs of affected areas today led teams in the combing of borders communities of Lagos and Ogun State.

The areas patrolled include Ijoko, Dalemo, Saka, Akinde, Ijaiye, Ojokoro, Kola, Alakuko, Abule, Alagbado, Jankara, Ahmadiya, e.t.c.

“The Area Commander, ACP I.D Zungura, assured residents of the affected communities to join hands with the police to put an end to the activities of the criminals in the area.
