COVID-19: Lagos Residents Lament Petty Palliatives

The people of Lagos, the epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, complained about the bleak nature of palliative provided by the government to increase the economic impact of COVID-19.

On March 30, President Muhammadu Buhari announced the information of a lockdown in the capital cities of Abuja, Ogun and Lagos. The key was extended for four days on April 13.

To reduce the impact of the lockdown, Lagos Governor Babajide Sanvo-Olu announced that the state would provide additional monetary costs to 250,000 of the state’s population and feed 100,000 vulnerable people.
