Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa announced that a patient with coronavirus died Thursday evening. This was announced on Friday by the press release of the Secretary General of Governor Mr. Olisa Ifeajiki in Asaba.
He said that the deceased had serious health problems and spent two weeks in Lagos. Patient with severe symptoms is late to the hospital.
Governor Okowa statement said that the patient’s symptoms are shortness of breath, which requires immediate and necessary medical attention.
“Shortly after the specimen was taken, he passed away. However, his test results came back positive on Thursday night.
“In order to mitigate against the spread of the virus, we are fast-tracking our contact-tracing to ensure that all those that came in contact with the deceased patient are properly isolated and tested immediately.”
