The moment that an entire generation of Liverpool fans have been waiting to see their entire lives has come at last. Manager Jurgen Klopp, who took charge of the club in October 2015, has led them on this journey from ‘doubters to believers’, as he so aptly put all those years ago. The German and his staff were the first up on the podium to collect their winners medals which were handed to them by the Premier League’s chief executive Richard Masters and Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish. getty An emotional Dalglish personally congratulated all the Liverpool players The Liverpool players, who have worked together brilliantly to win the trophy that all Kopites crave, then came on to collect their medals. And last but by no means least, it was left to club captain Jordan Henderson – a player who’s had his ability, leadership and even his running style questioned since signing in 2011 – to collect the trophy his huge efforts truly deserve. He didn’t play against Chelsea, but Henderson wore full kit and the captain’s armband as he was handed the iconic trophy. Henderson even fended off his knee injury to do his trademark trophy celebration shuffle before hoisting the Premier League high in the air as fireworks and a spectacular light show went around Anfield.
