Lagos pastor accused of rape yet to meet bail conditions ~ NewsEdge
Bishop Oluwafeyiropo Daniel, the Lagos-based cleric accused of raping his members, has yet to meet his bail conditions. He has spent one week in detention after being remanded by Justice Ramon Oshodi of the Lagos State Special Offences Court, Ikeja.
Daniel was absent from court on April 3 when the case came up for arraignment, but was later arraigned on two counts of rape and granted bail in the sum of N20m with two sureties, who must own property within the jurisdiction of the court.
The cleric was remanded in the Kirikiri Custodial Centre pending the perfection of his bail conditions. One of the two girls allegedly raped by Daniel has said that some of the evidence she submitted to the police were missing from the case file. Daniel has denied the allegations.
