The Lagos State Government has pulled back charges against a performer, Azeez Fashola, alias Naira Marley, and a politician, Babatunde Gbadamosi.
Naira Marley, Gbadamosi and his significant other were charged before the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba for going to a packed birthday celebration disregarding the government’s social distancing directive to control the spread of coronavirus.
In any case, the government, according to the defence counsel, Mr Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), pulled back the four counts documented as a detriment to the three defendants.
Adegboruwa briefed journalists on what transpired in the courtroom
He said the state pulled back the charges depending on the prerequisite that the defendants would delicate a conciliatory sentiment to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
