Southampton star Kyle Walker-Peters has red card OVERTURNED as referee consults VAR pitch-side monitor

Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters was sent off for a high boot on Crystal Palace man Tyrick Mitchell. BT Sport Walker-Peters was sent off for this tackle on Mitchell The decision was reviewed by the Video Assistant Referee but it was done a bit differently this time around. On-pitch referee Jon Moss reviewed the incident himself, watching it back on the monitors on the side of the pitch. After careful deliberation, Moss overturned his original call and Walker-Peters was give a reprieve as he was just given a yellow card. BT Sport Unlike last season, the on-pitch referee reviewed the decision himself BT Sport Moss changed his mind and handed the full-back a yellow card instead Being reduced to ten men would have been a hammer blow to Saints as they’re currently 1-0 down at Selhurst Park – Wilfried Zaha scoring in the first half.
