Adekunle, an undergraduate of the University of Lagos, was tragically shot dead by armed robbers on Saturday evening.

Adekunle and his schoolmate, Opeyemi, were travelling on a shuttle bus from Yaba to UNILAG when a man hanging at the back of the bus stole Opeyemi’s iPhone 7 plus. Opeyemi raised the alarm and Adekunle attempted to retrieve the phone from the robber, who fled.
In his pursuit of the thief, Adekunle was shot by one of the robbers’ accomplices and died on the spot.
