UPDATE: Nigeria confirms 91 new cases of COVID-19, 74 in Lagos, toll now 873

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Wednesday, reported the nation has confirmed 91 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), a pandemic outbreak in the country.

This brings the total number of cases confirmed to 873.
According to the NCDC, 74 cases were discovered in Lagos, 5 in Katsina, 4 In Ogun, 2 in Delta, 2 in Edo, 1 in Kwara, 1 in Oyo and 1 in Adamawa.

In its tweet late on Wednesday evening, the most recent data of COVID-19 in country, were 873 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 28 deaths, and 197 people have recovered and discharged.

Meanwhile, the agency said that five cases previously reported in Lagos State have been transferred to Ogun State.
