UPDATED: Sanwo-Olu orders closure of Lagos markets

Lagos Say Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered the closure of all markets no longer promoting a need to-enjoy commodities equivalent to clinical supplies, water, foodstuff amongst others.
The PUNCH reviews that the closure, which is effective Thursday, March 26, is no longer unconnected to efforts to curtail the community transmission of coronavirus.
As of the time of filing this file, of the 42 confirmed circumstances of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria, 29 were reported in Lagos.
In a live press convention on Tuesday, Sanwo-Olu acknowledged, “All start markets and retail outlets excluding for sellers of food and medicines, clinical instruments and other a need to-enjoy lifestyles-saving merchandise are directed to conclude from Thursday 26th, 2020 for the next seven days.
“It is no longer a total lockdown, we calm desire other folks on a need to-enjoy services to head about their unparalleled actions.
“We are attempting and de-centralise markets in Lagos. Because of the this we desire to expend some of our closed faculties as markets, so other folks can decide food and treatment without going a long distance.
“It is most efficient whenever you are alive that probabilities are you’ll per chance discuss economics and finance.”
