Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish insists the club hasn’t made a bid for Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster. The 20-year-old striker has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer and reports emerged on Monday that the Eagles were winning the race to sign him. He denied a report by Sky Sports that Palace had tabled an offer of £19million plus £6m in add-ons to the Premier League champions. He said: “We have asked Sky to take this down as it is a total fabrication from start to finish. “We have not made a bid, formal or informal.” Brewster signed a professional contract with Liverpool in the summer of 2018 and has made three appearances for the Reds at senior level. It was thought he was part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans following his successful loan spell at Swansea last term, which saw him bag 11 goals in 22 appearances. But the signing of Diogo Jota from Wolves last weekend has only added to speculation that Brewster‘s days at Anfield are numbered. As well as Palace, numerous Premier League clubs have been linked to Brewster, including Aston Villa, Newcastle and Sheffield United.
