And it’s certainly one to whet the appetite with City still holding a very faint chance of beating Liverpool to the title, while the Gunners battle to get a vital European place. The clubs have now been training and some stars who were injured prior to the enforced break have now returned to fitness, adding extra intrigue. Meanwhile, as you may well have seen in the Bundesliga, we could be set for some wild games which might not go to script with home advantage seemingly now out of the window. Aymeric Laporte, Kevin De Bruyne, and Leroy Sane, were unable to play in the 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford and their return will be a huge boost for City. It means a far stronger defence could be in place, something which they have been without for almost the entire campaign. Meanwhile, the return of Sane gives them an extra attacking option which, with five substitutes available, could see them overwhelm sides in the final stages of games. How Man City should look… Arsenal team news The Gunners also had their injury issues before the coronavirus pandemic but unlike City, not all their absentees have been able to return. Calum Chambers is definitely out of the match due to the anterior cruciate ligament problem he picked up in December. Lucas Torreira is still on the comeback trail and would, in more normal circumstances be entering the final stages of a return to training. With current limitations of what players can do the Uruguayan may not quite be match fit for the clash, although he will be at least very close to starting. Kieran Tierney is in a similar situation having missed a spell to a broken shoulder. He’s back in full training but may have to be handled carefully.
