crossover By Sean O’Brien 24th September 2020, 6:27 pm EA Sports have made some heavyweight changes to the upcoming FIFA game by making boxing king Anthony Joshua a playable character. Players will be able to select Joshua, the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion, for their five-a-side team in FIFA 21’s Volta mode. EA Sports Joshua’s strength stats will be through the roof What’s more, the British boxer will be wearing a Volta collection designed by Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin. And if that wasn’t enough crossover for you, world famous DJ Diplo is also in the game as the developers aim to mix the ‘worlds of football, music, fashion and beyond’. Volta, introduced in FIFA 20, allows players to create their own character and travel the world playing five-a-side tournaments. Joshua and Diplo will be among the ‘groundbreakers’, who users can play against and also recruit to their own team. We can’t imagine Diplo being particularly good at football, no offence Some legendary names from the world of football, such as Kaka and Eric Cantona, will also feature in Volta. We wonder how many players will make a Tyson Fury character just for a laugh? Funnily enough, the release of UFC 4 by EA Sports features both British heavyweight champions as playable characters in the octagon.,
